THURSDAY FELLOWSHIPS: IMPACTING LIVES WITH BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES(2nd Quarter 2023 Report).

Spread the Good News

Getting back on track after the changes in Fellowship times that had lingered as a result of Covid 19 restrictions, The Roses Ministry relocated our Thursday Fellowships from the space in front of our Administrative Office in the National Population Commission Office Complex to Oraukwu Community Hall, 30B Babs Animashaun Street, Surulere, Lagos. The numbers of widows who attended the weekly Fellowships had increased. In order to effectively minister to each member, we also introduced new methods which includes the once a month full two hours fellowship giving time for Testimonies, sharing experiences and ministration of the Word and Prayers. The first Thursday is used for Training for Business Enhancement Scheme or Healthcare. Then the members were divided into two groups depending on registration numbers, who may attend on the third and fourth Thursdays and are divided into smaller groups of about 50 for more effective and interactive Bible Study.
There are times for questions and answers on all the biblical topics taught and correct answers are rewarded with food items e.g., packs of spaghetti/noodles or hygiene products e.g. roll on deodorants.
Some Topics and lessons learnt this second quarter are as follows:

  • God keeps His Word – The Four Lepers” – 2kings 7:3-20; Regina Ezenwa

Lessons learnt from the actions of the four Lepers:

  • Desperation: We need to be desperate sometimes to be used by God to achieve His purpose.
  • Discovery:  Be courageous and take a step of faith.
  • Duty:  Share with others.
  • DOUBT: Doubt is a barrier and may bring disastrous consequences.

June Thursday General Fellowship: every widow went home happily with a Loaf of Bread.
