“And it came to pass on the morrow, that Pashur brought forth Jeremiah out of the stocks. Then said Jeremiah unto him, The LORD hath not called thy name Pashur, but ‘Magormissabib’.” (Jeremiah 20:3)
“But the LORD is with me as a mighty terrible one: therefore my persecutors shall stumble, and they shall not prevail: they shall be greatly ashamed; for they shall not prosper: their everlasting confusion shall never be forgotten.” (Jeremiah 20:11)
ACTION: Declare the word of Jeremiah 20:11 whenever you feel persecuted or oppressed. God changed the name of the priest Pashur, who persecuted Jeremiah, to Magormissabib, when he released his ‘terror on every side’ (to him and his friends, the wealth, valuables and treasures of Judah).
PRAYER: Oh God, arise and fight my battles! The Lord is my strong Defender!
