“And it shall come to pass in the day of the LORD’S sacrifice, that I will punish the princes, and the king’s children, and all such as are clothed with strange apparel.” (Zephaniah 1:8)

“And you shall make holy garments for Aaron your brother, for glory and for beauty.”(Exodus 28:2)

ACTION: Dress modestly to God’s glory. Will God punish people just because of their clothing? These were leaders who, instead of showing good example to the people, wore ‘strange apparel’ – foreign, pagan clothes. They desired and adopted pagan gods and pagan ways, ignoring and showing contempt for the Lord’s commands. So, yes, God requires His people to seek holiness in clothing and lifestyle too.

PRAYER: Father Lord, please grant us grace to seek to honour and glorify You above all other things. God is Holy!
