God is Omnipotent

“O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!” (Jeremiah 32:17 NLT)

God has unlimited power. He has infinite ability and capacity to do anything He wills or desires. Anything He purposes and plans will come to pass. Nothing can stop or prevent it. However, it is comforting to know that He cannot do anything that is contrary to his good nature but will do only what is consistent with His character. For this same reason, even though He loves us all, He cannot tolerate sin or save unrepentant sinners.

ACTION: We should fear and reverence the All-Powerful God. “And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell”. (Matthew 10:28)

PRAYER: Father, please give us grace to overcome temptations and evil, enabling us to stand firm under Your omnipotent protection and grace.
