“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path.”(Psalm 119:105)
Many towns in Nigeria do not have streetlights and many villages do not even have electricity at all. To walk through a village path at night, one needs a source of light like a torch that can penetrate some distance away. Being able to see far ahead makes it possible to avoid falling over obstacles, into holes or getting bitten by reptiles and other animals. This world is like a dark forest of evil in which our physical sources of light are not useful. The Word of God is the lamp we need to light our path as we walk through it.
ACTION: You cannot use what you do not have. Read, meditate and memorize the Word and, as Jesus did, use it during temptations and as guidance in decision-making.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, please remind me of the Word I need at all times.
