The Widows Healthcare Outreach took place on Wednesday 24th November at The Roses Ministry Office with monitoring of Blood Pressure/pulse and Blood sugar by staff of two Pharmaceutical Devices Companies assisted by Community Pharmacists, Surulere zone. 520 widows received pharmaceutical care and their prescribed medicines for mostly hypertension and diabetes and in addition many others received pain relief medications, antimalarials, and immune boosters. There was adherence to Covid -19 protocols:  positions for handwashing, sanitizers were placed at different points and all had to wear face masks.

The Widows were also fed spiritually with the word of God by our Coordinator, Mrs Regina Ezenwa.  In her brief ministration, she emphasized the importance of reading the Bible and “Knowing Christ and His power” using the story of the raising from death of the only son of the widow of Nain in Luke 7:11-17.  She also stressed the need for cleanliness and maintaining social distances especially at this time of Pandemic. Ten of the widows gave their lives to Christ and they were ministered to at the Altar Call.

The Trustees and Members of the Roses Ministry express our immense gratitude to all our Partner, individuals who made it all a success. You made the faces of vulnerable widows light up with smiles and hope! Thank you all partners. May Almighty God continue to supply and increase your store of seed and lift you up to greater heights, in Jesus Name. Amen.
