Jehovah Sabaoth –The Lord God of Hosts– 2

“Elisha’s servant looked up and saw the hillside covered with horses and chariots of fire all round Elisha.” (2 Kings 6:17. Read 2 Kings 6: 8 –23)

God is Lord of all armies, including the hosts of heaven, and the armies of the earth. All creation is subject to Him, and even when the armies of the earth are in conflict with His will, He overrules them in His time. And although we may not see them, God’s mighty heavenly army fights for us, so we do not need to be afraid when faced with difficult challenges. They were there to defend Elisha, God’s prophet, against the invading Syrian army. Fortunately, Elisha had the spiritual insight to see them but his servant did not and was afraid.

ACTION: Fear not! Ask for spiritual insight into God’s resources and power. Trust the God of all armies.

PRAYER: Father God, please open our eyes that we may see into the heavenly realm, when necessary, in Jesus name, Amen.
