Jehovah Shalom

“Then Gideon built an altar there to the Lord and named it The Lord is Peace.” (Judges 6:24)

Gideon received instructions from God in broad daylight, but it seemed so dark and eerie that in fear he chose to carry it out at night when all was calm. The wisdom and peace of God gave him success. God is our peace. When all is working right, we do not realise that having Christ means having peace, but in times of distress, the peace that comes from knowing Christ brings calm and lights up the darkness!

ACTION: Ask our Lord Jesus; talk to Him. He alone gives the answer of peace.

PRAYER: Our Father in heaven, please may Your peace that passes all understanding dwell in our hearts and minds always, in Jesus name, Amen.
