Jehovah El Kanna

“You must worship no other gods, for the Lord, whose very name is Jealous, is a God who is jealous about his relationship with you.”(Exodus 34:14 NLT)

Most often we think of the word ‘jealous’ in negative terms, referring to someone who resents another’s success. However, it also means a fierce protection of one’s right or possession. God loves us with an everlasting, jealous love, and wants nothing to take His place in our life or our heart. These may be material possessions or personal relationships that Satan uses to distract us from an intimate relationship with God and take His place. What we spend our time on, what consumes our thinking, our hobbies and habits determine who we give first place in our heart. So beware!

PRAYER: Lord God of love, we commit to give You first place in our hearts and life. Please help us to be more than conquerors.
