12 October

“And it shall come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, will never again depend on him who defeated them, but will depend on the Lord, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.” (Isaiah 10:20)

Nigeria received her Independence as a sovereign nation from Great Britain on 1 October 1960. Over six decades later, the country is still grappling with fundamental issues of governance, while with the governed seem like slaves under corrupt leaders and systems. Like the theory of the five monkeys in a cage who refused to touch bananas in the cage because that is what those who were there before taught them, we the Nigerian citizens have been docile in our bondage. This is the time to depend on the Lord God Omnipotent for total deliverance of Nigeria and other nations. This is the time to act and break free. If God could restore Israel to their land after 2,000 years of being scattered all over the world, He will fulfil his promise to raise a new Nigeria!

ACTION: Pray for the speedy birthing of a new Nigeria and peace in troubled nations.

PRAYER: Covenant-keeping God, please hear our cries and give us a new Nigeria!
