“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” (Philippians 4:13)

All things? Really, all things? This does not give us supernatural power to do things that are contrary to God’s will, but to work in union with Christ to do His will and overcome the challenges that arise in the process. No shaking, no fear as we contend for our faith, whether in trials and persecutions, or just in the everyday processes of living right. Not just in our ability to do all things but in being content in what we have and what comes our way.

ACTION: Be determined to walk in God’s purpose with the confidence that we will be strengthened to triumph.

PRAYER: Father God, please help us not to seek to use your power in us negatively but to use it to fulfil your purpose and give you glory. Christ strengthens us to be more than conquerors in all things!
