“Therefore, it is come to pass, that as he cried, and they would not hear; so they cried, and I would not hear, saith the LORD of hosts:” (Zechariah 7:14)

“Wisdom calls aloud outside;……Because I have called and you refused, I have stretched out my hand and no one regarded, Because you disdained all my counsel and would have none of my rebuke, I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your terror comes, when your terror comes like a storm, And your destruction comes like a whirlwind, when distress and anguish come upon you. ‘Then they will call on me, but I will not answer; They will seek me diligently, but they will not find me’.” (Proverbs 1: 20, 24-28)

ACTION: True godly wisdom is obedience to God. How terrible it would be if God turns His face away from us and refuses to answer our prayers. We should act in wisdom to prevent such a calamity.

PRAYER: Father, please have mercy, especially when we disobey You in our foolishness. Jesus is the righteous Judge!
