God is just!

“He is the Rock; his deeds are perfect. Everything he does is just and fair. He is a faithful God who does no wrong; how just and upright he is!”           (Deuteronomy 32:4 NLT)

The dictionary defines ‘just’ as ‘behaving according to what is morally right and fair’, but in the Bible ‘just’ means to treat people equitably and give them their rights. It means acquitting or punishing every person on the merits of the case, regardless of race or social status. As Christians, we struggle to be just in our dealings with others, but God is infinitely just, fair, always right and perfect, sparing the repentant sinner through the atonement work of Christ while sentencing evil, unrepentant sinners to hell.

ACTION: Repent of any sin and disobedience and receive justification through God’s mercy paid for through Christ.

PRAYER: Father God, we plead for your justification in mercy through the blood of Jesus, and not through our own righteousness.
