“For God will rescue you from every trap and protect you from deadly disease.” (Psalm 91:3 NLT)

No matter how intense our fears are, we have the assurance of God’s deliverance and protection from dangers, temptations, diseases and everything that threatens our lives. When Covid 19 suddenly descended on the peoples of the earth, fear gripped the nations. Between late 2019 and March 2023, over 760 million cases were confirmed and about 6.8 million people died. We prayed more than usual, crying out to God for mercy. Many Christians recited Psalm 91 daily in the power of the God who made the promise. Scientists worked round the clock and vaccines were discovered and brought into use. Eventually, the death toll nose-dived because God rescued us from the perilous pestilence!

ACTION: Let us pledge our devotion to our Lord God daily, entrust our lives into His hands, and reaffirm our faith in His guidance and protection.

PRAYER: Almighty God our Father, with trust in Your omnipotence and unfailing love, we stand against every trap, deadly disease and perilous pestilence planned against us.
