My name is Nkoe Iniobong Francis, a beneficiary of the Roses Ministry scholarship scheme. I would say I am the happiest man alive because of the grace of God Almighty on my life for seeing me through my academic pursuit in Uniuyo for my Bachelor’s degree, and it wouldn’t have been possible if God had not made me come in contact with this beautiful Ministry ( ROSES MINISTRY 🌹). I am forever grateful for everything you did for a young man like me. Who would have believed I would cross the four walls of the University, talk less of one day being a graduate, but by the grace of God Almighty am here and would complete my program in University of Uyo the coming year 2022.

It all began in November 2017 when the Ministry had a youth program which changed my entire life. After the whole event Mummy Regina called me aside because I did a peculiar thing which the Holy spirit directed me to do. At the end of the program before the saying of the Lord’s prayer or closing prayer mama asked;” who will lead us in praise and worship, and we were all silent and shy but I was moved to lead it, so I collected the microphone and sang to the glory of God. That was how she took notice of me amidst everyone in the crowd. God led me to her to ask me questions and immediately provide answers to the underlying questions that filled my heart that has lingered for a long time. She called me and said, “son what’s your name and I said I am Nkoe Iniobong Francis Chima. She was like wow you have a lot of names,☺️and I said I did not want to miss my mum’s favorite name, so she asked who is mum and I told her Mrs Nkoe and pointed my mum to her, she was called and Mummy Regina said directly to me, “son how is your preparation for the University” and I smiled and gave her my answer, mama I don’t know how it will be possible to go to school because we don’t have that kind of money, but I believe God Almighty can provide for me, and that’s why I had written WAEC and JAMB. She was like wow hoped you passed and I said “Yes ma, I got 260 in my JAMB and passed my WAEC excellently well and I had put in Political science and Public Administration as a preferred course of study.” I wondered in my heart why she was asking me these questions but I patiently waited for mama to finish talking to me, so listened. So she said “Son that’s a good result, so when you are given admission let us know and we will see what we can do.” That statement alone sent flashes of excitement to my veins, I could not believe it, my mum was still shocked by what she heard we couldn’t express our excitement, we held it until we got home; Come and see how my mum was dancing for joyful and thanking God Almighty for answered prayers. *Oh!!! Roses you gave a mother hope to live again* she knew the future is bright once again for her son. The truth was she had given up on my dreams of going to school and she was disappointed she couldn’t do anything about it. So now you understand why she was so excited and danced all through that day 😅.
I got admitted into school and got into school January 2nd, 2018 and the Roses ministry kept true to their word by paying my first school fees and till date which is that last school fees in my Four hundred level which they have sorted out, and am so grateful for these act of kindness and pray that God will continue to nourish and provide for you all.
Now soon by next year, by God’s grace, I will officially become a graduate of Political science and Public Administration, this is a story of which you would call from grass to grace😇.
I thank God for everything and I want to encourage you all to keep trusting God Almighty, and never give up on your dreams, keep believing in God and keep working hard, you will get there.
