I WANT TO BE A TELEVISION
“In all things showing yourself to be a pattern of good works;
in doctrine showing integrity, reverence, incorruptibility”
(Titus 2:7, NKJV)
A story is told of a primary school teacher who asked her pupils to write an essay on “A wish you want from God”.
The essay read:
Oh God, make me a television. I want to live like the TV. In my house, the TV is very valuable and the centre of attraction. All of my family members sit around it. They are very interested in it. When the TV is talking, my parents listen to it very happily. They don’t shout at the TV. They don’t quarrel with the TV. They don’t slap the TV. I want to receive the same special care that the TV receives from my parents.
Lord, I won’t ask you for anything more. Please turn me into a TV.
ACTION: If you call your loved ones to come to Jesus, would they willingly come because they see Jesus Christ in you? Reflect.
PRAYER: Lord, help me to discipline myself to have adequate time and attention for my children and those in my sphere of influence so that they will never feel forsaken.
