JEHOVAH, OUR HEALER (2)
“So the Lord God caused a deep sleep to fall upon the man, and while he slept took one of his ribs and closed up its place with flesh. And the rib that the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman and brought her to the man.”(Genesis 2:21–22)
God put man to a deep sleep (anaesthesia) and performed a surgery to take a rib to “make” a woman, and closed up the place. God is the first anaesthesiologist and the first surgeon and of course the Creator. Recovery was immediate with no scar!
Do you know the process of coronary artery or heart bypass surgery? The coronary arteries supply the heart’s muscles with oxygenated blood. If they are blocked or the flow of blood is restricted, the heart can’t function properly. This can lead to heart failure. In the surgery, the surgeon uses a blood vessel from the patient’s leg, arm or chest to bypass a narrowed, clogged or damaged section of a coronary artery. This diverts blood around the narrowed part of the major arteries through the grafted vessel to improve blood flow and oxygen supply to the heart. Usually this surgery involves a general anaesthesia and a cutting through the flesh and rib cage to get to the heart. This surgery takes three to six hours. Full recovery may take up to twelve weeks.
Most often, the arteries get narrowed when fatty deposits build up on the inner walls. Many are dying from undiscovered coronary heart disease. All knowledge and wisdom comes from God! “For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding” (Proverbs 2:6). The life–saving knowledge of medical science is from God, not from man’s ingenuity, whether the discoverers acknowledge it, know God or not. God is the creator of all things!
ACTION: Eat healthy, exercise regularly, and carry out routine medical checks. Pray! Be alive and useful to God!
PRAYER: Father God, thank you for the immense wisdom and knowledge you have given in our age to keep us alive and healthy. Please strengthen all medical personnel in wisdom and excellence in Jesus’ name. Amen.
