“But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us.” (2 Corinthians 4:7 NIV)

We are like jars of clay: weak, fragile and breakable. Like the jars with torches inside, broken and used by Gideon’s army, (Judges 7:15-25) we have inside us the priceless power and light of God. We must be willing to be broken to release the great power of the Spirit of God, like the days after Pentecost. That is the Revival we seek for such a time as this. There is an outpouring of the power of God in these latter days. God has called each of us to be givers/vessels and not just receivers.

ACTION: Keep daily intimate contact with God, our power source, and obey! Are people seeing God through us? Is the power and gift of God manifesting in and through us?

PRAYER: Father God, please break us, mould us, fill us and use us to bring the light of the gospel of Jesus Christ to people, with your great power of signs and wonders, in Jesus name. Amen. We are vessels of God’s light and power for such a time as this!
