“How joyful are those who fear the Lord… They share freely and give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will be remembered forever. They will have influence and honour.” (Psalm112:1,9NLT).

Nigeria will rise again! Who will be great?, The person who fears the Lord! How does he show that he fears the Lord? Through obedience to the Word, one of which is to share freely so as to show God’s love; and by being generous, especially to those in need. God’s dignity is lifted in such a person. He will be powerful and respected; have influence and honour; his good deeds and righteousness will endure forever, bringing blessings upon his generations. I have seen many families reaping the godly benefits of their parents and grandparents who feared the Lord in their lifetime. What can be greater?

ACTION: We will fear the Lord through our generosity at such a time as this.                                                

PRAYER: Father God, please prompt our spirits and cause us to give generously to the needy and do good deeds.
