“But we hoped that it was he (Jesus) who should redeem Israel. Yea and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things came to pass.”   (Luke 24:21)

“But as it is written: ‘Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.’”    (1 Corinthians 2:9)

ACTION: Reject despondency, abound in hope, for the great things God has prepared for us who love Him.

PRAYER: Father God, thank You for life and knowing Jesus. We break the shackles of despondency over unmet expectations. We pray that we will abound in hope in Your promises. Help us to trust that they will come to pass in Your time and by the power of the Holy Spirit, in Jesus name, Amen. Jesus is our hope!
