“And he said to the multitudes also, When ye see a cloud rising in the west, straightway ye say, There cometh a shower; and so it cometh to pass.” (Luke 12:54 ASV)

“He answered and said to them, ‘When it is evening you say, “It will be fair weather, for the sky is red”; and in the morning, ”It will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening.’ Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.”                            (Matthew 16:2-3)

ACTION: Shift your gaze from physical things to eternal things. Having knowledge of our environment, people and politics is good, but even more important is knowledge of the Word of God and its application, as well as revelation and signs of the spiritual times we are in. What would we do to achieve this?

PRAYER: Father God, please make us like the children of Issachar who had understanding of the times, and knew what Israel ought to do.(1 Chronicles 12:32) In that way, we may know what we, our families and our nation ought to do.

Jesus is the Fountain of Knowledge!
