TELL YOUR FRIENDS

“As he was getting into the boat, the man who had been possessed with demons begged him that he might be with him. And he did not permit him but said to him, “Go home to your friends and tell them how much the Lord has done for you, and how he has had mercy on you.” And he went away and began to proclaim in the Decapolis how much Jesus had done for him, and everyone marvelled.”

(Mark 5:18-20)

Life often seems like an endless race of jumping the hurdles. When one is saved and delivered from Satan’s clutches, why is he not taken up to heaven immediately – a glorious land of eternal joy and peace, a land of no more sin, pain or sorrow? Well, believers are left on the earth with the primary assignment to “Go into all the world and proclaim the gospel to the whole creation.”

Just like the Gerasene demoniac, Jesus commands us to tell our friends and family very simply, in our own words what He has done for us. We overcome by the word of our testimony. We share testimonies to edify, build up, encourage others and glorify God.

ACTION: Remember the countless blessings and mercies of the Lord and make time and create opportunities to share them daily

PRAYER: Dear Lord, I thank you for all you have done for me. Help me to be diligent in sharing testimonies of your goodness with others.
