WHO IS JESUS TO YOU?

“Eight days later, when the baby was circumcised, he was named JESUS, the name given him by the angel even before he was conceived.”(Luke 2:21)

Isaiah prophesied the virgin birth of Jesus 700 years before He was born. He called Him “Immanuel”–God with Us (Isaiah 7:14), Wonderful, Counsellor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace (Isaiah 9:6).

A friend sent me a piece which I have adapted with permission as below:

I asked a king: Who is Jesus? He said, King of Kings.

I asked an electrician: Who Is Jesus? He replied: Light of the World.

I asked a plumber: Who Is Jesus? He replied: Water of Life.

I asked a doctor: Who Is Jesus? He replied: The Greatest Physician.

I asked a hunter: Who is Jesus? He replied: Lion of the Tribe of Judah.

I asked a psychologist: Who is Jesus? He replied: Source of Wisdom.

I asked a builder: Who is Jesus? He replied: a house built on the Rock. I asked a baker: Who is Jesus? He replied: Bread of Life.

My professional colleague, a pharmacist was standing by me and said: Jesus is the greatest scientist, inventor and manufacturer.

Who is Jesus to you?

ACTION: Daily exalt the name of Jesus.

PRAYER: Thank you, Jesus, for you are the King who lights my path. You provide my daily bread and quench my thirst with healing of all my sicknesses. The Lion of the Tribe of Judah strides steadily making a way for me in the clogged wilderness of life to the home built in wisdom on the solid rock and foundation Jesus, who never fails. I reverence you, my All in All.
