WHO AM I? (3)
(CHRIST’S SERVANT!)
“This is how one should regard us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the mysteries of God. Moreover, it is required of stewards that they be found faithful.
(1 Corinthians 4:1-2)
I am a trusted and faithful servant of Christ by His grace and so He reveals His mysteries and secrets to me for service, as well as His gifts to serve and encourage others and to His glory and honour!
I am a reliable servant by His grace, so He speaks to me through His Word, through His Holy Spirit and many other ways and He teaches me so that I may teach and disciple others to His glory and honour!
As a servant obeys His master, so we should obey our Lord as He daily presents us with needs and opportunities to do His will. Being servants does not diminish our status as children but stresses our use as vessels in God’s hands.
What type of vessel do you choose to be? “But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some for honour and some for dishonour. Therefore if anyone cleanses himself from the latter, he will be a vessel for honour, sanctified and useful for the Master, prepared for every good work” (2 Timothy 2:20-21).
ACTION: Ponder – in what ways are you serving the Lord with your life?
PRAYER: Lord please grant us grace to be faithful stewards of your gifts and resources.
