FRAGRANCE OF THE ROSES 2 – 10TH JANUARY

Spread the Good News

10 January

“Then Peter said, ‘Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.’” (Acts 3:6)

On April 20, 1974 at the University of Ife, the Evangelical Christian Union had a Crusade, preceded by days of fasting and prayers asking for souls and miracles. Many gave their lives to Christ and many were healed. The most spectacular was a deaf-mute who started speaking with stuttering sounds. A year later he came back to testify, talking and hearing clearly. The lame man at the beautiful gate, in Acts 3, asked for alms but received instant healing. At times God uses people to give us what we ask for or something of greater eternal value. Other times God wants us to be that person He uses to answer others’ requests. Many are needy, sick and hurting. What can we do to help them?

ACTION: Be willing to be sanctified and used by God at such a time as this!

PRAYER: Lord, please bring back miracles of the Bible to our generation.
