“In his life on earth Jesus made his prayers and requests with loud cries and tears to God, who could save him from death. Because he was humble and devoted, God heard him.”(Hebrews 5:7)

Why would God hear and answer our prayers? Because we pray with loud cries and tears? Because of the sacrifice of Jesus and His intercession for us? Because the Holy Spirit guides our prayers to pray God’s will? Because God is our Father and promises He will answer our prayers? Yes to all these, but in line with the verse above, no matter our methods, just like Jesus, it is most important to pray with reverent submission, willing to do what God wants in humility and devotion, in order to receive God’s answers.

ACTION: We will always be humble and devoted to God at such a time as this.
PRAYER: Lord, please help us to know You more and to humbly submit our desires to Your will, in Jesus name, Amen.
