“In his lifetime, Judah will be saved, and Israel will live in safety. This is the name that he will be given: Yahweh Tsidkenu – Our Righteousness.”

Just like we have had corrupt and inept leaders in Nigeria for some years now, Israel had corrupt kings who were destroying and scattering the people with selfish policies and actions. Through Jeremiah the Prophet, God gave a message of hope in the midst of great sorrow and failure. God promised salvation and safety for His chosen people, as well as a righteous leader, filled with wisdom and justice. This encourages us in Nigeria that God has heard our prayers, as the Prophetic Words have come that He will raise true leaders.

ACTION: We must continue in repentance and fervent prayers for God’s mercy on our nation.
PRAYER: Oh Lord, please have mercy and heal our land at such a time as this.
