“God’s divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness.”                             

  (2 Peter 1: 3 NIV)

The new life of godliness that we need as believers to please God is given by the divine power of Jesus Christ and comes through true knowledge of Him. Therefore, we must seek to know Him more through His Word, prayers and practical obedience! Salvation leads to holiness, and not the other way round. This season shall be great as we participate more in His divine nature! We can obtain this through prayer and studying the Word. It enables us to do the following: (a) live worthy of Christ’s calling; (b) love God and others in practical ways, especially those who are vulnerable; (c) trust and obey the Lord even when we do not understand.

ACTION: Pray and meditate on the Scriptures regularly. Try reading the whole Bible in one year or two.

PRAYER: That we may reflect the greatness of Jesus at such a time as this!
