“Then David said to the Philistine (Goliath), ‘You come to me with a sword, with a spear, and with a javelin. But I come to you in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.’”(1 Samuel 17:45 NKJV)

Do you feel oppressed and physically helpless? Do you feel the wickedness, taunts and defiance of many in leadership positions, especially in Nigeria? The Israelite king and the entire army, including David’s own brothers, were afraid of Goliath. They tried to discourage David but because of his memories of God’s previous deliverances, they could not stop him. They saw a giant that was bigger than them, while David saw a mortal man defying the Almighty God, the Lord God of Hosts. Who do you see in your challenges?

ACTION: Keep up the Prayer cries! Remember who God is. Battle with the name of the Lord God of Hosts, Jesus, the name at which every knee shall bow!

PRAYER: In the name of the Lord God of Hosts, we decree and declare that every weapon fashioned against us shall fail in Jesus name, Amen! The Lord of Hosts is fighting for us at such a time as this!
