LOVE IS THE WAY OF LIFE!

“For the love of Christ controls us.”

(2 Corinthians 5:14)

“For the love of Christ constraineth us” (KJV).

“For Christ’s love compels us” (NIV).

The love of Christ:

• Controls us to live a life of love. Love as the self-sacrificing, caring commitment that shows itself in seeking the highest good of the one loved. It involves loving God to show forth His glory in our words and actions, and loving our fellow men made in the image of God.
• Compels us to live a life of righteousness (divinely imputed). This makes us to be patient and kind, as well as to rejoice with the truth, bear all things, believe all things, hope all things, endure all things.
• Constrains us from unforgiveness, bitterness, hatred, evil, envy, boasting, arrogance, rudeness, stubbornness, touchiness and the attitude of rejoicing at wrongdoing.

God is Love! Love is the way of life!
