“I will watch over this Temple and be ready to hear all the prayers that are offeredhere.”(2Chronicles7;15GNT)                                                                                     “Surely you know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you!” (1 Corinthians 3:16 GNT)

Just as the glorious dedication of Solomon’s temple was done with prayers of repentance, sanctification and sacrifices, so the Lord expects us to keep ourselves holy and pleasing to him, submitting to the guidance of the Holy Spirit who lives in us. A lot of self-discipline is required from us. Paul said: “But I discipline my body and keep it under control, lest after preaching to others I myself should be disqualified.” (1 Corinthians 9:27ESV) God forbid that we should be disqualified for any reason! As we live in obedience, pray fervently with faith, He is ready to hear and answer all our prayers. This is especially true at complex and confusing times, such as the times we live in.

ACTION: Offer sacrifices of obedience and holiness to the Lord!
