“Thus says the Lord to you: ‘Do not be afraid nor dismayed because of this great multitude, for the battle is not yours, but God’s.” (2 Chronicles 20:15)
The battles we fight are not ours but God’s. As Christian individuals, groups and a people in our country, Nigeria, and other nations upon which God’s prophetic Word has been spoken, that is as it should be. For us the battle against the great multitude might be (a) spiritual: principalities, powers and rulers of this dark world (b) temptations and trials, most often using human vessels including ourselves. God always wins every battle! We only need to hear, allow and obey him.
ACTION: We need to recognize our human limitations and weaknesses. Let us encourage ourselves as we cry out to God to fight for us daily; Allow His strength to work on our fears and weaknesses, then let us obey, focus on doing God’s will and giving Him glory.
PRAYER: God our Father Almighty, we yield ourselves and depend on You to fight for us and our nation at such a time as this!
