‘For “the name of God is blasphemed among the Gentiles because of you,” as it is written’. (Romans 2:24)

Joke decided to offer some service to her church instead of just being a nominal member, so she joined one of the service groups. She discussed a business proposal with one of the members and submitted her proposals to his office. While awaiting the response, he asked her for a date. “I am married and a Christian”, she responded. “Of course, I know. I am a Christian and married too,” he said. “It is because of people like you that the name of Christ is blasphemed”, she retorted. Yes, all men sin, but shall we continue in sin that grace may abound? Certainly not! Our lives should reflect Christ in all things, at all times, especially among unbelievers.

ACTION: Let our actions match the Word of God in all things.

PRAYER: Our Father and our God, please grant us grace not to compromise Your Word at such a time as this, irrespective of the world’s low standards.
