“Peninnah, her rival, would torment and humiliate her, because the Lord had kept her childless. One time…Hannah…was deeply distressed, and she cried bitterly as she prayed to the Lord…the Lord answered her prayer.                                                                               (1 Samuel 1:6, 9-10; 19-20.GNT)

Caring neighbours frustrated her with recommendations of gynaecologists and medicines that improved fertility. Funmi came into the Pharmacy to buy a recommended fertility medicine and received an intense Pharmaceutical counselling session. A friendship developed and she heard a testimony of how God answers the prayer of Hannah in this century, following the fervent prayer of a believing heart. A year later, Funmi had her first son, two others coming in quick succession. Her test of five years became a life time testimony. Hannah’s test, especially the torment from her rival, Peninnah, became a Bible- recorded testimony, and through her came the last Judge of Israel, the Prophet, Samuel. God is still looking for someone to birth part of His vision.
