“Then Abraham planted a tamarisk tree in Beersheba, and there called on the name of the LORD, the Everlasting or eternal) God.” (Genesis 21:33)

God has no beginning and no end. In fact, He is the beginning and the end, the Alpha and Omega, the God who was, who is and who is to come (Revelation 1:4,8; 4:8). Before creation, He was there. Before the mountains, the earth and the world were formed, even from everlasting to everlasting, He is God. God has been in existence right from eternity past and will continue to exist right into eternity future. Some people may ask, “What was there before God existed?” The answer is that God has always been there, and God alone stands apart from the relentless flow of time. In fact, He is the author of time. This is awesome and quite difficult to understand with our finite minds.

ACTION: Learn to relax in the knowledge of the awesomeness of our God eternal, rather than use our logic to try to understand at such a time as this.

PRAYER: My God how wonderful thou art! Thy Majesty how bright! How beautiful Thy Mercy seat; In depths of burning Light.
