“Pray in the power of the Holy Spirit.” (Jude 1:20)

Praying without the presence and power of the Holy Spirit is like a flat-keyed recital, or setting out to drive to a destination by just turning on the car’s ignition of the car and doing nothing else. Prayer releases the power and will of God to action. We receive answers when we pray God’s will. How do we know God’s will? “No one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God.” (1 Corinthians 2:11) The Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness as He teaches us, pleads with God for and through us in groans that words cannot express but are nevertheless in accordance with God’s will. (Romans 8:26-27).

ACTION: Submit to the guidance of the Holy Spirit at such a time as this.
PRAYER: Grant us revelation, Oh Lord, to pray in the power of the Holy Spirit.
