“The Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you everything and make you remember all that I have told you.” (John 14:26)

This was the promise of Jesus to His disciples then and to us now. The Holy Spirit was sent after the resurrection of Jesus. He taught and reminded them of Jesus’ life and teachings as eyewitnesses, enabling them to record the Gospels in sync without taking away their individual perspectives.

In the same way, the Holy Spirit gives us understanding of Scriptures and God’s will. He reminds us of them especially at the times of temptations, when we are low and need encouragement, when we face challenges and need God’s promise, and when we need to praise and worship God for who He is. In other words, we need the Holy Spirit always!

ACTION: We need to be sensitive to the still small voice of the Holy Spirit at such a time as this.
PRAYER: Holy Spirit, please let me always hear Your voice loud and clear.
