“And tell Archippus, ’Be sure to finish the task you were given in the Lord’s service.’” (Colossians 4:17)

And tell ………… (your name) to finish the task you were given in the Lord’s service. It is important to do this with urgency, for we know not how long we have. We receive talents and resources as part of God’s master plan to achieve His purpose and give Him pleasure. However, we live in a fallen world where many things can cause us to leave our ministries/tasks unfinished. We could get distracted with life’s challenges; sidetracked morally; grow tired, weary and angry; focus on comparisons by think we are doing more than others, and discouraged at not receiving expected rewards.                                                                                                                      

ACTION: Let us take heed, guard what we have received and follow it through to completion and success. That is the person that gives God pleasure!

PRAYER: Father God, please grant us grace to follow through and finish our assignments for such a time as this.
