“These who have turned the world upside down have come here too.”
(Acts 17:6)

At Pentecost, after the resurrection of Jesus, the disciples received the promised Holy Spirit with physical manifestations and power. The disciples were so empowered they turned the world upside down with their evangelism. Are we empowered by the same Holy Spirit? How much power does the gospel we preach have? Is it just encouraging good conduct or is it also transforming lives?
By the power of the Holy Spirit, the gospel the disciples preached transformed lives, broke down social barriers, broke chains of captivity, opened prison doors, made people to show each other God’s love in practical and sacrificial ways, and stirred deep worship of God.

ACTION: Evangelise in word and lifestyle to transform lives.
PRAYER: We pray for the power of the Holy Spirit to transform lives at such a time as this.
