“Obey them (the Laws) completely, and you will display your wisdom and intelligence among the surrounding nations.” (Deuteronomy 4:6a)

Sometimes arguments arise about the application of Old Testament Laws to present-day living. God designed biblical laws to guide His people in both the Old and New Testaments, as well as Christians today, towards lifestyles that are healthy, upright and devoted to Him. The timeless truth and principles behind the Laws help us to understand God’s nature and to know Him more.
Jesus our Saviour perfectly obeyed the law and modelled its true intent of love. With Christ as our primary example, faithful and complete obedience shows wisdom, understanding and intelligence. Such wisdom glorifies God in the eyes of others and makes God pleased that He made man.

ACTION: We will always completely obey God.
PRAYER: We pray that we will fulfil God’s purpose and give Him pleasure at such a time as this!
