“This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” (Zechariah 4:6)

Are you discouraged, weak, harassed, jobless and wondering what the future holds? Have you done all within your own ability and capacity but still not much has happened, or do you know a lot more could have been achieved? Zerubbabel had a responsibility to rebuild the temple at Jerusalem and he had all these feelings when the work was stalled.

The Lord spoke to him as He is speaking to you today:
It is not by your might or power but by the Spirit of God that anything of lasting value is accomplished. Zerubbabel completed the temple. You too will have good success. Work hard, but do not trust in your strength and abilities. Rather, depend on God and work in the power of His Spirit to His glory.

ACTION: We will depend on the Spirit of God at such a time as this.               

PRAYER: Father, please grant us understanding to know the difference between diligence and over self-reliance.
