WHO AM I? (2)
(GOD’S CHILD!)

“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”

 (John 1:12)

“So we are no longer slaves but ‘sons’ and if a son, then an heir through God.” (Galatians 4:7)

Alleluia, I am a child of God! In receiving Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and through baptism, we receive salvation by grace and strip off our clothing of justification through keeping the Law that makes us always guilty. The Law produces self-hatred and pride, rather than love and humility, and stresses performance over relationship. Our filthy clothing of failure in keeping the Law is changed into Christ’s new clothing of His own righteousness, as we seek to live a life of obedience and gratitude in faith.

Through our faith, we become children of God who build an intimate relationship with Him and are loved unconditionally. We can come boldly without fear into God’s presence and call him Father. We are God’s children! Though He is God, Jesus became the first-born Son of all creation. As children of the same Father God, we share with Him all rights to God’s resources. Alleluia! The Son of God became man so that we can become sons of God!

The revelations of God’s resources are written in His Word. Are we searching, finding, accessing and using them?

ACTION: Praise God for His redemptive love towards us.

PRAYER: Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice to make me a child of God and a joint heir.
