 JESUS, THE SAVIOUR

“And she will bring forth a Son, and you shall call His name Jesus, for He will save His people from their sins.”
(Matthew 1:21, NKJV)

“And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and
wrapped Him in swaddling cloths and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room in the inn.”
(Luke 2:7, NKJV)

Born in a manger, meek and lowly
Brings to the world, hope and life
Jesus, derided and rejected by men
Men, loved and redeemed by Jesus
What a wonderful day!
What a glorious season!

Born to die, raised to life
Brings to the world, life eternal
Jesus, reject Him and die eternally
Men believe Him and live eternally
What a wonderful gift!

What a glorious promise!

These verses celebrate the Nativity of Jesus; that is, God coming into the world of humans to relate with man so that man can understand Him better. The Nativity is at a great cost to Jesus but it brings tremendous blessings to man. These blessings are however for those who believe and trust Him enough to hand their lives over to Him. Those who neglect or fail to so trust Him are doomed to eternal destruction. On this day of His coming, hope and life are restored to man.
