CALL AND LISTEN

“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known”  (Jeremiah 33:3 )

God has given us His mobile number. It is never busy and network is never bad. He always picks up the phone and always speaks. Do we listen always? Reading, meditating and praying the words of the Bible is a very important part of listening and the only infallible way of hearing God. Of course, He speaks to us in many other ways. God wants to reveal deep secrets to His children.

Prayer is our greatest weapon. God’s words are the greatest revelations. God speaks and answers all prayers but the answers differ, except of course the prayer from the heart of an unrepentant sinner which is an abomination.

Pray at a regular time and place at least once daily at a time you can give your interrupted attention, without being distracted over issues of the day. Listen, look and write down any feelings, thoughts, revelations. Write your requests and answers. If you are distracted, pray out loud and pray about the issue of distraction and continue. Have a prayer list and guide to give you focus.

Praying without expecting God to speak and without listening, is like making a call to a close friend and hanging up after speaking without expecting a response.

ACTION: Expect God’s response each time you pray! Call, listen, speak, listen!
