NO HOPELESS CASE
“Then said Jesus unto them plainly, Lazarus is dead. And I am glad for your sakes that I was not there, to the intent ye may believe; nevertheless let us go unto him.”
(John 11: 14-15, KJV)
Lazarus was dead and buried for four days and presumed to be already decaying before Jesus arrived.
Have you given up hope? If the situation will glorify God, Jesus may yet come down to give life, for with God nothing shall be impossible.
Jesus delayed coming over to heal Lazarus who had been sick. His delay was to give God greater glory and to show His disciples His divinity and power over even death.
One of the crucial foundations of our Christian Faith is resurrection from the dead. Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead in his lifetime but Lazarus died eventually like all humans. By the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus was physically resurrected from the dead and is alive forever more. With the same power, He will raise all believers to eternal life. His power over life and death gives the believer a spiritual life that death cannot conquer or diminish in any way.
“And if Christ is in you, the body is dead because of sin, but the Spirit is life because of righteousness. But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you” (Romans 8:10-11).
ACTION: There are no impossible cases with God. Is there any situation that currently seems impossible to you? Have you suffered any loss that seems irrecoverable? Stir up your faith again through the lessons from the resurrection of Lazarus.
PRAYER: I speak life over every good thing that seems dead, damaged or being delayed in my life. I declare a speedy recovery of all I have lost, in the powerful name of Jesus.
