JOHN’S IDENTITY OF JESUS (5)

“I am the resurrection and the life…”(John 11:25)

The story is told of a man who had been born into a certain religious faith and had followed it for many years. This man became a Christian and was very passionate to see his family know Christ. He often used his conversion experience to minister to them. He explained to them that he had seen himself going down a road when, suddenly, the road split into two. While he was trying to decide which of the roads he would take to get to his heavenly destination, he noticed two men. As he approached them, he saw that one was dead and lifeless, whereas the other was alive and offered himself to take him safely to his destination. He chose to follow the man who was still alive, Jesus! He told his listeners that Jesus is the only founder of a religion that is alive now and forever.

Jesus has power over life and death. Jesus lived as man and God. He is the only man who lived, died, rose from the dead, ascended into heaven and is alive forevermore. He is the life, the giver life and the Creator of life. He is the only one who brings dead people back to life eternal. He is the resurrection and whoever believes in Him has a spiritual life that death cannot conquer or diminish in anyway.

 He has everlasting life.
