“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvellous light.” (1 Peter 2:9)

Many of past generations sought to be in a generation such as ours. Imagine those who lived before Christ. They lived in constant fear that the consequences of errors and sins could kill them instantly. Truly we “have been chosen by God himself—we are priests of the King, we are holy and pure, we are God’s very own” (TLB). We are greatly privileged to know that our sins are forgiven as soon as we repent. Because of the sacrifice of Jesus and as priests, we have free access to God. May we never take this sacrifice and free gift for granted. The Light of Christ is available to us and the Holy Spirit guides us.                                          

ACTION: Do not grieve the Holy Spirit but acknowledge Him and allow Him to lead you.                  

PRAYER: We offer You, our Lord God, praises and worship for calling us out of the darkness into Your marvellous light for such a time as this.
