“And it came to pass after these things that his master’s wife cast longing eyes on Joseph, and she said, ‘Lie with me.’But he refused.” (Genesis 39:7-8a)

“And the king of Egypt spake to the Hebrew midwives:…..When ye do the office of a midwife to the Hebrew women,… if it be a son, then ye shall kill him:…But the midwives feared God, and did not as the king of Egypt commanded them….. And it came to pass because the midwives feared God, that he made them houses.”(Exodus 1:15-21)

ACTION: Are we willing to obey God rather than man? Lose opportunities to make money? Risk punishment because we refuse to compromise? See opportunities to hit back at those who hurt us and refuse to do so?

PRAYER: Lord, thank You for life and opportunities to express Your love, compassion and forgiveness. Please help us to focus on Your purpose and obey completely, irrespective of earthly things we may lose, in Jesus name, Amen. Jesus remembers our works!
