“These were the sons of Zibeon: both Ajah and Anah. This was the Anah who found the water in the wilderness as he pastured the donkeys of his father Zibeon. These were the children of Anah: Dishon and Aholibamah the daughter of Anah.” (Genesis 36:24-25 NKJV)

Anah was not only diligent and successful in the family business; he was also ingenious. He pastured his father’s donkeys and discovered hot baths of water in the wilderness, an oasis in the desert. Those who are diligent and industrious sometimes receive more advantages than they expect. Anah was blessed with children and grandchildren too. Zibeon had two sons, Ajah who was probably the first son, and Anah. Where was Ajah? He is no longer mentioned apart from being the son of Zibeon. Who would you rather be?

ACTION: Be diligent in your work.

PRAYER: Lord, please strengthen us to be dedicated and diligent in our work. Make us relevant in our generation, especially for such a time as this!
