“Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me. And He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.” (2 Corinthians 12:8-9a)

At times of challenges, we pray and also seek solutions in various ways. With sickness, we seek medical solutions; with work we seek expert advice; with our emotions, we seek encouragement or counsel. The woman with the issue of blood had tried medical solutions, spending huge sums of money, but there was no solution till she touched Christ in faith. Paul was being used to bring solution to many for diverse challenges, and yet he had a thorn in the flesh. Do you have a thorn in your life? Most people do. How do you react to it? Paul did not spend undue time and resources on this. He bore it with God’s grace, strength and courage, and focused on fulfilling his purpose.

ACTION: Do not let the thorn in your life be an obstacle to your mission.

PRAYER: Lord, give me grace to keep me strong at such a time as this!
